A Haunting in Bergen
Why not make our 2nd episode a Halloween special! We decided to test our podcast equipment in a location we found on the Haunted History Trail. We still don’t know if there were any ghosts, but if there were they had some fun with our equipment!
While I handled the audio for this one, it was recorded in tandem with World Hop with Teej whom you may remember from my first episode. Her channel is amazing and you should do yourself a favor and subscribe. Here’s her recording of the same visit.
I need to thank Haunted History Trail of NY for suggesting this place. I had recorded this right around the same time I had decided to start a podcast (way back in August, 2018) and this seemed like the perfect spot to test my recording setup. Of course an ever-present theme of this tale is technical glitches, and my first foray into on-site recording was full of them… and I wasn’t alone, as noted in the recording. Teej has exponentially more recording and production experience than I, and her issues with the Bergen material echo mine. You’ll notice it took me over a year to produce this episode, and with good reason. I’ve never had files go missing or corrupt with such regularity as these. Of course it could all be coincidence, and I lean toward skeptic in most cases, so I defer to you to cast judgement. Listen to the episode, watch the video, and examine the pictures and, if you’re still unsure, go check it out for yourself. For a fee they’ll show you around. Here’s their contact info (if you’re feeling brave):
